Chocolate Cherry Smoothie
1 1⁄2 cups hemp, coconut, almond, oat or another unsweetened, non-dairy milk
1⁄2 frozen banana (see note)
1⁄2 cup frozen cherries
1⁄4 avocado
1 tablespoon flax seeds
1 tablespoon chia seeds
2 Brazil nuts
1-2 tablespoons cacao powder
2 scoops collagen protein powder or a serving of another protein powder
Dash cinnamon (optional)
1. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth. Add additional liquid for a thinner consistency. 2. Drink at room temperature during cooler months.
Note: To freeze bananas, peel, halve and store in an airtight container.
