
Berry Banana Smoothie Makes 1 serving 1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk (or 1⁄2 cup plain Greek yogurt + 1⁄2 cup coconut water)
1⁄2 cup blueberries, frozen or fresh 1⁄2 frozen banana 1 tablespoon whole flax seeds 1 tablespoon almond butter 1-2 handfuls baby spinach (for 1⁄2 - 1 cup frozen spinach)
Dash cinnamon
1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Add additional liquid for a thinner consistency.
Note: If new to eating flax seeds, start with 1⁄2 teaspoon. Increase by 1⁄2 teaspoon every few days until consuming 1 tablespoon. (There are 3 teaspoons in 1 tablespoon.)
