We help you discover optimal nourishment for your body and baby using whole foods, herbal remedies, and daily rituals. Our four-trimester, live group program, The Pregnancy Pod, helps you build the knowledge and skills to support life-long nourishment practices, confidence in the kitchen, and deep connection to the body’s inner wisdom. One-on-one nutrition counseling provides individualized support for your unique metamorphosis.

Carly Wertheim, MS, CNS

Carly is a board certified, holistic health practitioner who combines nutrition, herbal medicine, and everyday ritual to help people bring their bodies into balance. She has a Masters of Science in Nutrition from Teachers College, Columbia University and is a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute’s Chef’s Training Program. Carly’s unique and personal approach to health integrates evidence-based nutrition science with time-honored kitchen wisdom. Her practice is rooted in deep gratitude and respect for the natural world and belief in the body’s innate ability to heal and find balance.

A sought-after speaker and teacher, Carly leads classes and workshops on nutrition, food-as-medicine, intuitive eating, and vocal embodiment. She has taught at UCSF, Mt. Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, Mt. Sinai Beth Israel, The JCC of Manhattan, The Charlotte Maxwell Center, Barnard College, and The Maurice Sendak Community School.

Carly is a mother, singer, compost enthusiast, and home gardener who, during her self-care time, can usually be found at the farmer’s market, batch cooking for the coming week, or off on a hiking excursion. She lives on Maui, Hawaii with her husband and children, Mira (3) and Samir (1). 

Melissa Tarras

Melissa’s passion is providing full spectrum support for all birthing people. She is an experienced, certified birth doula, lactation consultant and child birth educator. She offers evidence-based, nonjudgemental, loving and compassionate support for all of her clients. 

 

Melissa became a birth worker in 2015 supporting and educating hundreds of families, and never looked backed. This is truly her heart’s work! Her goal is for everyone she works with to have a positive birth experience, whatever that means to them, and to help them navigate through all of their options and choices. 

 

When not working, Melissa loves volunteering with her Camp Power family and hiking in Upstate, NY. She lives in Brooklyn and offers local in person support but is available for virtual support all over the world.
