Turmeric Papaya Smoothie
Makes 1 serving
1 1/2 cup hemp, coconut, almond, oat, or another unsweetened milk of choice
1 cup fresh papaya, peeled, seeds removed
1/2 cup frozen mango or 1/2 frozen banana
½ avocado
1 tablespoon chia seed
1 tablespoon flax seed
1-inch piece fresh turmeric, roughly chopped or ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
½-inch piece ginger, optionally peeled and roughly chopped
Juice of 1/2 lime (or ¼ of whole lime – with peel! – but only if organic)
1 scoop collagen protein or another protein powder (optional for protein)
1. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth. Add additional liquid for a thinner consistency.
